I love Dim Sum. I always go to dim sum in Hong Kong with my husband. There are many dim sum styles and tastes good.
In England, Chinese food is more expensive, a few cups of dim sum for tea costs a few hundred Hong Kong dollars, so I don’t go there every day.
When we go to the city center, we will go to Chinatown to buy dim sum. There is a Lo’s Noodle Factory, which is located in the back alley of Chinatown. It started in 1978, mainly supplying fresh rice noodles and rice noodles, but also providing all kinds of buns and cakes.
I tried to buy a glutinous rice roll. At first I heard that a glutinous rice roll costs HK$60 and I thought it was a bit expensive. But after I bought it, I found that it is really a big roll of glutinous rice buns. It thicker than my front arm! Enormous！I can cut it up to 8-10 of pieces! I was surprised. We usually brought rice noodles, rice rolls, bbq pork buns, marinated rice buns and glutinous rice rolls, and buy a big box of “Chao Kwan pork barbecue” from the Chinese superstore. Then we go back to the home to divide it into a platter of dim sum and store it in the fridge.
The next morning, we steamed a portion of dim sum and it was our dim sum breakfast. Although I can’t eat dim sum in a restaurant in Hong Kong, I’m already satisfied with this kind of dim sum breakfast!
